Summary: By using EthosVerify, you agree to these terms. We provide identity and business verification services to platform operators. You are responsible for obtaining proper consent from your users before submitting their data for verification. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms or applicable laws.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the EthosVerify platform ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Customer," "you") and EthosVerify ("we," "us," "our").

2. Description of Service

EthosVerify provides a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform that enables online businesses to verify the identity of their users through document verification, email/phone confirmation, and activity monitoring. The Service is provided on a subscription basis with varying plans based on verification volume and features.

We use Amazon Web Services (AWS) for infrastructure hosting and Amazon Simple Email Service (SES) for transactional email delivery. Email communications are governed by our Email Communication Policy.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information including your full name, email address, and a secure password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account at support@ethosverifys.web.id.

Each account is for a single business entity. You may not share account credentials or resell access to the Service without explicit written authorization.

4. User Responsibilities

As a Customer of EthosVerify, you agree to:

  • Obtain proper, informed consent from your end-users before submitting their personal data for identity or business verification through our platform
  • Comply with all applicable data protection and privacy laws in your jurisdiction, including obtaining necessary consents for processing identity documents
  • Use the Service only for legitimate business purposes and in accordance with these Terms
  • Not use the Service for any illegal, fraudulent, or abusive purpose
  • Not attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with the security features of the Service
  • Not submit false or misleading information about your business or identity to us

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You may not use EthosVerify to:

  • Verify identities for illegal activities, fraud, money laundering, or terrorist financing
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other individuals
  • Send unsolicited or unauthorized communications (spam)
  • Upload or transmit malware, viruses, or malicious code
  • Violate the intellectual property rights of others
  • Discriminate against individuals based on protected characteristics in your use of verification results

6. Service Limitations

While we strive to provide accurate and reliable verification services, you acknowledge that:

  • No identity verification system is 100% accurate. EthosVerify provides tools to help assess risk and build trust — it does not guarantee the prevention of fraud or identity misrepresentation
  • Verification results should be used as one factor among many in your risk assessment processes
  • The Service may experience temporary interruptions for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control
  • Features and pricing are subject to change with reasonable notice to active customers

7. Email Communication Consent

By creating an account, you consent to receive account-related emails from EthosVerify including but not limited to: registration confirmation, password reset, login alerts, billing receipts, service updates, and policy change notifications. These are transactional emails necessary for the operation of your account — they are not marketing emails.

You also agree that EthosVerify may send verification emails to end-users on your behalf when you initiate a verification request through our platform. You are responsible for ensuring that your end-users have consented to receive such emails as part of your own terms of service and privacy policy.

We do not send marketing emails to end-users and we do not use email addresses for any purpose other than those directly related to the Service. See our Email Communication Policy for complete details.

8. Payment and Billing

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually as selected during signup. All fees are non-refundable. We provide a free trial with 50 verifications included — no credit card required. You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We will send billing receipts to your account email address.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate the agreement at any time. You may close your account through the dashboard settings or by contacting support. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent or illegal activity, or fail to pay applicable fees. Upon termination, your access to the Service will cease and your data will be handled according to our Privacy Policy.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, EthosVerify shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold EthosVerify harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your failure to obtain proper consent from end-users for data processing.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will notify active customers of material changes via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, followed by mediation or arbitration if necessary.
